Answer:

Explanation:

Bihar has been always the centre of Indian politics for thousands of years as part of Magadha Empire and it still does. The problem of Bihar began soon after the Independence where the first CM of Congress took up with the support of the rich, landlords and businessmen (as per my grandfather’s diary, who was then member of AICC and very close to people from Bihar from Dr Rajendra Prasad, Jagjivanram, Anugrah Narayan Singh, etc, in fact, he was the one who initiated the Champaran Andolan and sent emissary to Gandhi).

Presently Bihar is still in the grips of caste, religion and politics of biting each other’s tails. Rampant corruption continued irrespective of Mishra or Yadav. It is extremely surprising that the state that feeds maximum IAS, IPS, Engineers, Drs and several other, still languish in absolute poverty and mismanagement. The worms of corruption have creeped deep into our conscious. Major points may be:-

Corruption (covering all aspects).

Caste/religion based politics.

Corrupt educational institutions.

Steady decline in social, cultural and behavioral aspects.

Lack of natural resources and industry.

Ignored agriculture sector.

Bihar can certainly regain its past glories when the above ailments are eradicated. Nitish Kumar tried during his first tenure then wavered out. The subsequent elections forced him to share with Lalu Yadav which proved a disaster. At present, with RJD away, Nitish could try to bring the things on track again but needs help from all others.
