blacksmith

Answer:

iron blooms, or crucible steel, useally from who ever owned the local mines, or from traders (A noble family or king). Some villages would produce their own. In the case of iron blooms the blacksmith would refine it though forge welding into wrought iron which is the raw material used in forging.
