Bats are amazing creatures that use advanced navigation technique (also known as Echolocation) to find their prey. They send high frequency ultrasonic waves (about 20 -100 khz), that is not in range of human hearing.
These waves come back as echoes and help the bat in preparing a map mentally of everything around which includes the size, shape and speed of its prey (insects).
