How can an inverted image of an object be obtained with a plane mirror?


TPS: No inversion takes place in plane mirror.

plane mirror always form  erect image and inverted image is  never formed on a plane mirror

In order for a plane mirror to produce a real image ir must be reflecting the virtual image produced by another mirror or a lens. ... If the light rays coming from the virtual object converge at a point behind the plane mirror the reflected rays will converge in front of the mirror, forming a real image.
