Answer:

So if they are growing at a rate of 10%

It means in 1 year, increase = (10/100) x 200

= 20

That Means 20 Mosquitoes increase per year.

(i) No. of Mosquitoes after 3 years = 200 + (3 x 20) = 200+60 = 260

(ii) No. of Mosquitoes after 10 years = 200 + (10 x 20) = 200+200 = 400

(iii) No. of Mosquitoes after n years = 200 + (n x 20) = 20n + 200

Answer:

i) 3 years = 240

ii) 10 year = 380

iii) n years = 180 + 20n

Step by step explanation :

10 % of 200 = 20

i) for 3 years,

a= 200

n= 3

d= 20

a(for 3 years) = a + (n-1)d

= 200 + (3-1)20

= 200 + 40

= 240

ii) Similarly for 10 years,

a(for 10 years) = 200 + (9)20

= 200 + 180

= 380

iii) Similarly for n years,

a(for n years)= 200 + ( n - 1) 20

= 200 + 20n - 20

= 180 + 20n
