The anatomy, as well as the development of the embryo, is a result of the evolutionary process. From a single cell, the zygote (formed by the union of the sperm and the egg), after successive divisions, generates all the cells and different tissues of the newborn, forming the baby.
In this sense, the same species, in different places (therefore submitted to different conditions) can result in very particular anatomical changes of each one, for hundreds, thousands or even millions of generations.
Evolution is a constant feature in life, be it animal, vegetable, among other realms.
