hii dear friend..
Mitochondria :-
We know that it is popularly known as power house of the cell because ATP molecules are produced during cellular respiration...
As we know , the cavity of mitochondria is filled with dense fluid known as the mitochondrial matrix. Matrix shows the presence of lipids , RNA , a DNA molecule , and few ribosomes (70S type)

Now coming to the point......

• Mitochondria are capable of making their own protein because it contains ribosomes which helps in making its own protein.
And as we know ,
• Ribosomes are the sites of protein synthesis . Ribosomes are also known as protein factories.
• Mitochondria is also capable of synthesizing their own genetic material.
