How can one calculate the intermolecular distance of a molecule with raman spectroscopy?

I'm sure it's possible, it was a professor who asked me that. Besides, I was able to find in the internet some articles about it, but they aren't providing a complete explanation. In those examples I read about, diatomic molecules were irradiate. Yet I'm not sure that's the only or the best way –

 One variable is r, the H. Ointermolecular distance. The second is the angle that the intermolecular OH ray makes sense.
