Our Earth has a limited amount of natural resources, and if these resources are not used properly, the resources will vanish. Therefore, we need to use resources in a sustainable manner. Sustainable development is a process by every need of human beings are met in such a way that the biodiversity, balance in the ecosystem and the biological cycles are not destroyed. 
From individuals to governments, it is the collaborative effort at each level that can help reduce the use of natural resources. Steps to follow:
* Use only what is required.
* Minimize waste.
* Replenishing the resources by planting trees, rainwater harvesting, etc.
* Using the least amount of non-renewable resources. 
* Using alternative renewable resources.
