How can the effects of eddy currents be reduced?Answer the Given question in brief.

In order to reduce the effect of an eddy current we need to increase the resistance of the core.


For example in transformers when we increase the resistance then the sheets of steel which are laminated trap the eddy current.


This confinement in the sheet helps to keep the eddy current flowing just between them.


Hence, the eddy current still flows but just between the sheets which reduces their effect largely
