What is a stereotype?

Ans. A stereotype is nothing but a false belief or opinion that is falsely put in the minds of people by existing opinions. Eg: It is a stereotype that boys should like the colour blue, and girls should like the colour pink. However, this is not true, as even girls can like blue, and boys can like pink.

Explanation:

So, following the defention of the sterotypes , let us answer your question:

How can the stereotype that girls are burden on their parents affect the life of a daughter?

Ans. So , there is a common stereotype that girls are only supposed to do household chores and help around the house, and not learn anything an get married of. Most of the parents didnt want girls as they dont want any burden of marrying the girls off.

So, they end up teaching the girls so much hard work and teach the girls that they cant study, and that they should only do all the house Work and get married. This in turn, leaves a bad impression on the girls mind that they are useless and good for nothing, and they will end up thinking that they can only do household work and never study. So, their life will just be productiveless, and they wont do any studies, and they will just think that they are a burden to their parents, thus stereotypes make a bad impression on girls mind, and should be avoided.
