Tawarikh is a valuable source that provides us with information.
- Tawarikhs were written in Persian which was the administrative language of Delhi Sultantes. The authors were experienced men who advised the rulers on governance and recorded the events.
- The authors were aloof from the villagers and only catered to the urban areas. They used to write histories to praise the sultans and they were rewarded for their work.
- An ideal social order was followed by them but this had nothing to do with the common mass. They followed this order for gender discrimination and birthright.
- Thus, there was no evidence about the common men and women on these tawarikhs.
