how can the time period of a pendulum be increased or decreased?

The time period of a pendulam is
T=2π√(l÷g)
where , l is the length of string of pendulam.
g is acceleration due to gravity.
as , g is constant on earth so
by changing the length (l) we can change the time period.
for increasing length the time period will increase.
for decreasing length the time period will decrease.
