(a) to make 4 ohm
connect 3 ohm and 6 ohm in parallel and then connect this to 2 ohm in series.
like this [1÷{(1÷6)+(1÷3)}] + 2= 4 ohm.

(b)for 1ohm
connect all in parallel.
like this [1÷{(1÷2)+(1÷6)+(1÷3)}] = 1 ohm.
