1).Velocity is vector quantity so it depends on direction of motion but speed is scaler quantity so it does not depends on direction of motion.
2).Velocity is vector quantity so it is vectorically added via triangle law of vector addition or Parallelogram law but speed is scaler quantity so it is numerically added.
3. For uniform close loop motion average velocity is zero but speed is not
