Answer:

How can we protect NH2 functional groups and deprotect?

I want to use EDC/NHS to attach COOH on NH2 group of my polymer.

The polymer has three arms, all of them have NH2 groups.

However, I want one arm to attach to COOH group of molecular A, another two arms to attach to COOH group of molecular B.

Is there any protecting group I can use to protect the two arms first, and then, after polymer react to COOH of molecular A, deprotect, and add B later?

PS. A is another long length polymer, and B is Heparin (structure is on Link).
