It's simple.



All you have to do is to fill it, then place the cup over a fire.



When heat is applied to the paper cup, the water in the cup just absorbs all the thermal energy, meaning the fire is heating water, not the cup.



Because water boils at 212 Fahrenheit and the paper cup will burn at 451 Fahrenheit, you will be able to heat the water to the boiling point before the cup burns up. The water must reach 451 F in order for the paper to burn.



It's possible, but I wouldn't reccomend boiling water in a fragile material like that. Try like, a pan or something.
