The very easy method of doing it is electrolysis. electrolysis is a process where the water is breaken too its constituent elements. In electrolysis cathode and anode are placed inside water which has H2SO4 in it as water cannot conduct at its pure state. Then a metal is placed in cathode and anode region but metal may react with the oxygen resulting in production of oxides.Hence graphite rod is used as it is a good conductor and doesn't react with oxygen easily. Now the water is breaked and at cathode end there will be Oxygen and at Anode end there will be Hydrogen
