How can we change work done into kinetic energy or potential energy?

It is The work done by the net force that is equal to the change in Kinetic Energy. Work done on an object need not increase theKinetic Energy. A lifting force for example can increase gravitationalpotential energy or the work doneby a stretching force can increase elastic potential energy.
