↬To this mixture (still kept in cold water bath), Dimethyl Sulfate is added and it is kept in water bath for 60 minutes.

↬Mixture is heated for 30 minutes.

↬Mixture is then cooled which creates a Anisole layer which can then be seperated.

Add NaOH to phenol it will concerted into sodiumphenoxide then add CH3Br it will be converted to anisole.
