how can we cut a cake into 8 pieces in 3 cuts

first cut the cake into 4 pieces vertically and cut it once horizontally

Firstly we can cut vertical and horizontally then weget 4pieces and after that we will cut from center of the top layer of cake and bottom layer of the cake.... We get double 8pieces.
