How can we distinguish the living from the non living things?

Living things can grow and move but non living things cannot grow and move by themselves

Living things can be distinguished from non living things on several basis as listed below:

● living things can grow whereas non living things cannot.

● living things can reproduce and have the capability to regenerate where as non living things doesn't have such capability.

● living things can respire and perform several bodily functions which are not seen in non living things.

● living things react to various activities occurring in their surroundings to which the non living things does not react.
