IF VALENCY OF A ELEMENT IS 1,2,3 THEN IT IS A METAL BECAUSE IT HAS CAPACITY TO LOSE ITS ELECTRON.

IF VALENCY OF A ELEMENT IS 5,6,7 THEN IT IS A NON METAL BECAUSE IT HAS CAPACITY TO GAIN ELECTRON.
