How can we know that when we have to add 'ies' and 'es' as well as 's'?? Please explain

in simple present tense, you'll see the prefix "s, es, ies " attached to a verb, here's how.

when the the verb has a "y" in the last with a vowel before it, you shoul duse "ies".
For ex. Study - studies , worry - worries etc.

Verbs ending with ch, sh,s , z ,x are added "es" prefix . 
For ex. relax - relaxes , wish - wishes etc.

Other verbs have "S" suffixes with them
For ex. run - runs, eat - eats etc.
