it's very easy
to find lateral surface area or total surface area read the question very carefully understand it
next step is to compare it with daily life for e.g
if question is find the cost of paint required to paint the 4 walls of room
then in this question u should understand that we should use formula for lateral surface area because we cannot paint the floor similarly u can relate other examples with daily life and answer
just go on practising many more problems and u will understand it

we can find the lateral surface area and total surface area by using formulas for both lateral surface and total surface area....

the formulas are
1'. cube lateral surface= 4 l ^2 total surface= 6 l^2.''

2. cuboid. = 2*h (l+b) ....' 2*(lb+bh+hl)..'

3. cylinder= 2pieRh.... 2pie R(r+h)..''

4. cone= pie R l.... (pie R( r+l)..'''

5. sphere= 4pie r^2'.... 4pie r^2.'...

6. hemisphere= 2pie r^2.''.' 3pie r^2.'...

by using this formulas we can find the lateral surface and total surface area.....

hopes it helps you mark it as brainliest........
