why is gonad called endocrine gland ....and what is apical dominance...

gonad secreats its substance..known as hormone directly into the bloodstream istead of releasing it on the surface of our skin.. that's the reason it is considered as an endocrine gland

=>Gonads secrete steroidal hormones directly into blood(no ducts) that is why they are called endocrine glands. Like ovaries secrete progesterone and oestrogen & testes secrete testosterone.
