How can we measure area of slope water reservoir?

The basic information that I have is surface area derived from a digitized aerial image, average depth of 2.5m and a best estimate of dam wall slope which is 60%. Other than an estimate based on these figures, is there a better way to determine volumes of these small surface water bodies, remote-sensing or otherwise
