We can obtain carbon dioxide from acids.
This can be explained as :
When acids reacts with metal carbonated or metal hydrogen carbontes then it forms carbon-dioxide gas, salt and water.
Metal carbonate + Acid ---> Salt + water + Carbon-dioxide
like :
Na2CO3 + 2HCl ---> 2NaCl + H2O + CO2
Here which acid (HCl) reacts with metal Carbonate (Na2CO3) to form Sodium salt, water as well as carbon dioxide .
