Some Natural Calamities are not preventable, means they will and have to occur. Some like acid rain can be prevented by less smoke, less release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
If you are in a natural disaster you should follow some important factors.
Earthquake: hold on to something that is fit into the wall, don't hold on things like Computers, Cupboards, Chairs, Study Table. If on the road, pull over to a safe spot and clear off bridges, or roads that are held high by pillars.
Flood: Go for high rises. Do not swim to escape. Stay in a high rise until the flood has cleared. It is better to live in high rises in flood-prone areas.

The overwhelming number of dead or seriously injured and homeless people after the occurrence of a natural disaster and the massive amount of money to be spent for reconstruction and rehabilitation equates to a natural disaster. They are nothing else but extreme environmental events that impact human activities. Hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions are the most frequents.
