INTRODUCTION :- the end product of photosynthesis are oxygen, water and starch
so one of the end product is oxygen, which is proved by this experiment
AIM :- to prove oxygen is evolved during photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight
APPARATUS :- Breaker, water, test tube, hydrilla plant twigs
PROCEDURE :-
- place hydrilla plant twigs in a short stemmed funnel and keep it in breaker containing water
- invert a test tube full of water over the stem of the funnel
- place the apparatus in the sun for atleast 2-3hours
- after sometime observe the apparatus
OBSERVATIONS :- gas bubble that Is oxygen
is produced at the end of the test tube
- remove the test tube gently
- test the gas in the test tube by inserting a glowing incense sticks which would burst into flames
- this show lresence of oxygen
