how can we purify chlorine gas ?

Having worked in the production of Chlorine by the Electrolysis of Brine. The only impurity in the Chlorine was Water Vapour. This was removed by washing the chlorine with Sulphuric Acid which absorbed the water. This was necessary as the dry Chlorine gas went on to compression and then was liquefied by refrigeration for transportation by rail tankers
