Ali displayed the quality of love and patience From last five years he was coming to post office to recive his daughter letter which never come. On that day when Ali knew that it was his last day he go to the post master and ask for the letter And the post Master said him. What a pest you are Ali came out to the post office and turning after every step to the graze at the post office. His eyes was full of tears of helplessness at that time his patience's was exhausted even though he belief that the letter would indeed come one day. So we can say that Ali had lost his patience but not faith

Miriam's absolute silence and the Post Office employees indifference and rudeness had exhausted Ali's patience. Even then his non stop visit to the Post Office for five long years speaks for his unshaken faith about getting a letter from Miriam. In the end, the letter did arrive though after his death proving that his belief was not baseless. Hence, we can say that Ali had lost his patience but not his belief.
