i-Speed is equal to distance divided by time, therefore on a distance time graph, the speed is the gradient of a line. To find the gradient, find two points on the graph, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2).

ii-Acceleration can be calculated by dividing the change in velocity (measured in metres per second) by the time taken for the change (in seconds). The units of acceleration are m/s/s or m/s 2.

iii-Displacement equals the original velocity multiplied by time plus one half the acceleration multiplied by the square of time. Here is a sample problem and its solution showing the use of this equation.
