How can you conclude that shylock is in frustrated mood at this time?

Shylock is frustated at this moment because half of his land has been forfeited under Venetian laws for planning to murder a respectable Venetian citizen. Moreover,the Duke granted him remission of his state's half of forfeiture ibly on the condition to be converted to Christianity.

From the beginning of the play, we have seen him plottimga against Antonio.His villainy and cruelty reaches heights when we see him sharpening his knife on the sole of his shoes in anticipation of cutting a pound of Antonio's flesh from near his heart. Hi merciless and inhuman attitude,his sinister mind makes people hate him.
