In India, the objectives of secularism laid down by constitution of India are more or less similar to the other constitutions of the world.

✔The major difference is the clause of intervention in religious affairs. This clause allows the state to deal with any issues which has a direct effect on society.

✔Example:- To abolish untouchability from India which was a Hindu religious practice. the Indian Constitution has intervened into this issue. Now untouchability is a punishable offence in India.
