India is considered as the secular country in which equal rights is given to all people irrespective of their caste and religion.
In every state of India, all types of religious people enjoy same rights and duties as other religion.
No distinction is made on the basis of the religion of the person.

✔In India, the objectives of secularism laid down by constitution of India are more or less similar to the other constitutions of the world.
✔The major difference is the clause of intervention in religious affairs. This clause allows the state to deal with any issues which has a direct effect on society.
✔Example:- To abolish untouchability from India which was a Hindu religious practice. the Indian Constitution has intervened into this issue. Now untouchability is a punishable offence in India.
