How can you obtain pure water from sea water?
Answers
We all know what happens to our stomachs when we drink sea water. Let's say that it's no fun (because it really isn't.) That's because "sea water" is called saltwater. Saltwater is just what you would think it is; water with a high salt concentration.
The human body isn't meant to take in that much salt (especially not through water!) so we feel a little....sick afterwards. But that's all besides the point. One of the easiest, best way to purify saltwater is to boil it. Boiling the saltwater will cause the salt molecules to heat up, and after a while they rise up out of the water. This is something you can sometimes see in movies and whatnot, since it is the most efficient and well-known way. You can also use a water purifying tablet, but that might not always be on hand (and might not always work....)
So yeah, there are two main ways to get drinkable water from saltwater. But, to be honest, you should just drink the water that's in your fridge xD Hope this helps you! :P
QUESTION:-
How can you obtain pure water from seawater?
ANSWER:-
- To obtain pure water from seawater Simple distillation method is used.
EXPLANATION:-
- Seawater contains a huge amount concentration of salt and this salty water cannot be used for consumption purposes. Pure water does not contain any concentration of salt in it.
- Simple Distillation is a method that involves the heating of the mixture of liquid to the boiling point and then instantly condensing or cooling the vapours that are resulted from this method
- In the Simple Distillation method, the Seawater which is salty water is heated which results in the evaporation of the water, when salty water is boiled then only pure water is turned into steam. Instantly the steam is accumulated, condensed and collected in a separate container or flask. After boiling all the seawater the salt is left behind.
- The reason behind the working of the method of simple distillation of seawater is that the boiling point of water is much lower than salt.
