Answer:TO SHOW THAT CO2 IS NECESSARY FOR PLANTS TO PERFORM PHOTOSYNTHESIS THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITY SHOULD BE DONE

Explanation:1.Take 2 potted plants.Label them A and B.

2.Near one of the plants take some POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE in a Watch Glass.

3.Cover both the plants with and without  POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE WITH A BELL JAR and leave them for at Least 3 days in sunshine.

4.On the 3rd day take out the bell jar and pluck leaf of each one and boil them in methanol and then wash them with water.

5.After washing add a drop of iodine solution to both of them

6.The leaf of the plant which was kept without Potassium Hydroxide turns Blue black while the other one doesnt show any changes.

7. THE LEAF SHOWS BLUE BLACK COLOR BECAUSE IT HAS STARCH CONTENT IN  IT THAT IS IT HAS DONE PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

8. WHILE THE OTHER PLANT DIDNT DO PHOTOSYNTHESIS BECAUSE IT DIDNT HAD CO2 WHICH  WAS ABSORBED BY THE POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE IN THE WATCH GLASS.

THEREFOR E CO2 IS NECESSARY FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS .
