To reduce social loafing in groups and ways to overcome it:

  • Social loafing is reduction of individual effort in a collective task. Individuals work less hard in a group while performing alone.
  • To overcome it making people feel that individual contribution is more important, to increase pressure to work hard, making the efforts of each person identifiable etc..,

Two incidents of social loafing in school are:

  • There are incidents of social loafing in school they are when playing tug of war and clapping hands in morning assembly and in universities project team to do work.
