Our country is Democratic, Republic, socialist, secular and sovereign because it is given by our Indian constitution in the preamble. Our constitution begins with a preface called the preamble which highlights the goals and aspirations of the Indian people.
Democratic : the people of India are govern themselves through their elected representatives.
Sovereign : India is an independent country.
Republic : The head of the state will be elected and not a hereditary rule.
Socialist : Everyone is given equal opportunities to make use of the resources of the country.
Secular : no discrimination on the bias of religion.
