★ WHY BOILING AND MELTING ARE PHYSICAL CHANGES?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boiling and meting are changes caused in the state of matter due to change in temperature. In boiling a liquid changes into gaseous state but its chemical properties are same and it can be converted into liquid state again by cooling the gas.

Similarly,

In melting a solid changes into liquid state but its chemical properties are same and it can be brought back to solid state again by freezing the liquid.

Thus, boiling and melting are physical changes
