how can you say that the story 'virtually true' is not really true?

the narrator has left a number of unexplained points in the story . all these points make it hard to believe that the story is really true. First we are told that seb banged his head against his laptop when the accident took place . thus his memory got saved in the computers own memory But how did sebs memory got into michaels computer ? it was sebs games that michael had got not his laptop.and the narrator himself says that everything he has said is virtually true not really true.
