how can you separate sand, toothpicks, iron filings, sugar, chalk powder and small pebbles in a substance

toothpicks and pebbels can be handpicked iron fillings can be seperated by a magnet, Now add water as sand is the heaviest it will settle down chalk powder can be found in the middle layer and sugar can be obtained by crystallization.

GIVEN HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURE IS sand, pebbles, iron fillings , sugar , tooth picks and chalk powder.
Method followed to separate them is:
1.FIRST BY HAND PICKING, pebbles and tooth picks can be separated as they differ in their shape and size.
2. NEXT BY MAGNETIC SEPEARTION iron fillings are separated.
3.Water is added to sand, sugar and chalk powder.
4. As sugar dissolves in water forms sugar solution, sand will settle as impurity .
5. Chalk powder will not dissolve in water as it forms suspension.
6. Through sedimentation and decantentation , sand is separated.
7. Chalk powder is separated by filtration method by filter paper.
8. Sugar is separated from sugar solution by crystallization.
