Greater mass objects are displaced by applying greater force.Hence inertia depend upon mass of object

It's the property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless changed by an external force.
◆ Experiment -
We can test that inertia depends on mass by-
- When we kick the ball, due to its low inertia, it loses its state of rest and gets thrown off.
Lesser mass => Lesser inertia
- When we try to move a wall by hand it maintains its state of rest because of high inertia.
Greater mass => Greater inertia
