Iodine Test

---To identify the presence of suger

The presence of starch in leaves can be tested by an iodine test. Then we remove chlorophyll from the leaf by boiling it in alcohol.

After that, add a few (or just 2) drops of iodine solution. If the colour changes blue-black, it contains starch.
