Hello,

Cations are formed by loss of electrons. In an cation the number of protons is same as that of the parent while the electrons are less. Therefore, the attraction between the nucleus and the electrons increases and size decreases.

Cations are formed by the loss of electrons.

Anion = The negatively charged electron is known as Anion .

The Cathode is the negatively charged electron .

In the process of electrolysis , the negatively charged electron is known as the Cathode while the positively charged electron is known as Anode .

And Cation = Positively charged ion is known as Cation.
