answer is 1. Archimedes principle states that when a body partially or completely immersed in a liquid the apparent lose of weight is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by the body .
2. relative density is defined as the density of the substance to the density of the liquid. I hope my answer will help u .

Answer:

According to Archimedes principle, upthrust on the body is equal to the weight of this displaced volume of water, which is also equal to loss of weight of the body. Hence 'weight of equal volume of water' can be replaced by upthrust or loss of weight in water
