Crop rotation refers to the planting of different kinds of crops in the same same field in a cycle. The planting of these crops help each other. For example, before planting a rice plant in the field, you can plant leguminous plants in the field which enriches the nitrogen content of the soil. When the plant is cultivated and the rice plant is planted, these plants can use the nitrogen in the soil which was replenished by the leguminous plants. This cycle can continue and it will also make sure that the field is always replenished with nutrients.
