Process Of Current Formation:
- Let's consider a conducting wire not connected to batteries. In it , there are number of electrons moving haphazardly, such that the net movement of all electrons is zero.
- Now, when the wire is connected to a battery, the battery provides a potential difference across the ends of the wire.
- This leads to a uniform movement of electrons from the negative pole of battery towards the positive pole.
- This leads to current flow in the opposite direction (i.e. from positive terminal to negative terminal of battery).
