Answer:

Deforestation can result in natural calamities in the following ways:-

1. We know that trees help in attracting rain. If there are no trees, there would be no rain. This would result in droughts.

2. Even if it does rain, there are no trees to bind the soil together with their roots. This will result in both soil erosion and floods.

3. Deforestation will also result in global warming since there would be no trees to take in the carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.

Hope it helps

Answer:

The roots of the trees help to bind the soil particles together which prevent them from being washed away by wind or water but when the trees are cut down the soil particles are left loose and can then be washed away or blown away by the flowing wind or water which is  known as soil erosion. It  leads to the removal of fertile topsoil and therefore no more plants can be grown in that particular area . So, therefore, deforestation leads to soil erosion as well as it also prevents afforestation (planting of more and more trees). If there will be no trees no transpiration will take place and no water will get evaporated therefore no rainfall will take place. These were some of the unfortunate things which would happen in the absence of trees. However there are many other disadvantages of deforestation(removal of trees o a large scale).
